Boracay travel itinerary on a budget
The much awaited grad trip (literally)
29 June 2014 was my graduation from Temasek Polytechnic. I didn't have a very good polytechnic life, maybe 'cos I met the wrong people and I simply couldn't click with them. But I guessed, I really did learn alot about letting go, not caring, and definitely quality > quantity in terms of friendships.
Day 1 (30 June 2014)
The next day after grad, we went for our grad trip. I'm so happy for this trip and it's byfar the most chillax 8days of my life.
Was trying out my GoPro!
Took Jetstar to Kalibo Airport! Total was SGD$168nett for both ways, shared a 20kg baggage weight with Wy. Flight was at 11.05am.
Finally reached Kalibo International Airport at about 3pm. However, the immigration queue was like forever, waited for about 1hr!
Once you stepped out of the airport, there will be many many people approaching you to buy packages/transport to Boracay.
We chose Southwest Tours (525PHP, SGD$15) per pax and it was all-inclusive, bus to the Jetty, environmental taxes, jetty ride to Boracay, and a van to your accommodation. They are easily identifiable by their orange shirts.
Some companies may offer cheaper packages (200PHP) but they do not include many stuff so be sure to check.
A pit stop to get snacks. The total journey from Kalibo Airport to the Jetty was about 3hours, and another 30minutes from the Jetty to your accommodation.
Had lunch at Big Mouth (little food) Ordered the tower of drink, idk what it is but it was refreshing and it was like heaven to us who were so damn thirsty.
We paid 150PHP from D'Mall back to Mi Sueno and we thought it was a good deal, but it only costs 60PHP for 1 whole tricycle. We even gave the driver 2 cigs cos we felt bad for him to wait for us..
Day 2 (31 May 2014)
It was time to check out of our awesome hotel, Mi Sueno. We paid 750PHP for one night (22SGD). It was a really good deal cos the view is awesome. The hotel was clean, nice and it was really spacious. The only downside is that it’s 15minutes’ walk to D’Mall.
My first and probably the best hostel experience. For MNL hostel it was affordable, we paid 97SGD each for 6 nights. Reallly awesome price.
The view from the balcony.
***
Asked the hotel to help us book ATV for 1250each. It would have costed less if we had booked directly but it was pretty last minute. ATV wasn’t as fun as expected as we were mostly on concrete road up the mountains but it was fun. Went to Mt. Luho, Love’s Point to get an panoramic view of Boracay.

The ATV package comes with Sky Cycle and Trick Art Museum.
Stopped by Station 1 to grab Jonah’s Milkshake. There’s another outlet in Station 2 but our guide said it doesn’t taste as great. Had the banana choco peanut (110PHP) and it was thick and not so gelat.
Willy’s Rock
Walked back to Station 2 to have dinner at Obama Grill. It was 450PHP for calamari and seafood platter to share.
Sunset outside.
It was the tiresome process of bargaining again. Managed to get a good deal of 700PHP for zorb+zipline.
Headed back to the hostel rooftop and had Boracay Rum (105PHP for 1 bottle) + Balut. There are mobile vendors selling Balut so keep a look out for it! It tastes like hard boiled egg yolk (to me) and I didn’t like it!
Day 3 (1 June 2014)
Had lunch at Tres Amigos, an affordable Mexican restaurant. Spent
240PHP for burritos and mango juice.
Headed to our activities of the day ^^ Zorb and zipline, for
700PHP! (SGD20) There are 2 different types of zipline, the 300m and the 600m
one. 300m is steeper but the 600m is longer and more chillax. We got the 600m
one.
Zipline view, maximum regret of not filming the view. It was
breathtaking as we slid down ^^
Zorbing was super fun haha!!
Finally, after 2 days of looking at the beautiful beach, we finally got to go in for a dip! Look at how clear the water is.
Dinner was at Hawaiian Bar-B-Que. Recommended: Mushroom soup
(huge portion) and the pork ribs. Dinner was 655PHP.
Day 4 (2 June 2014)
Woke up after a gooood long rest, got a real bad headache
and vomited the night before ):
Since Candy and I woke up early, we went to have breakfast
at Julie’s bread – taipini and cheese streusels for 17PHP only and it tasted
great! Went to get a smoothie at Ice Monster (129PHP).
Headed to lemon I cafĂ© at D’Mall, which is recommended in
TripAdvisor. Had some salmon cabonara and eggs benedicts which were highly
raved.
Took a tricycle to Puka Beach!
Just went there to suntan and it was so relaxing ^^ Rmb to
bring your beach towels! Bought a dress there too for 350PHP which I wore a few
days later!
Around 7pm, took a motorcycle back to the hostel cos the
drivers claimed there were no tricycles left but there were many! But it was a
good experience though.
Had dinner at Nigi Nigi. Shared the pizza and had ice leamon
tea. Bill was 418PHP.
Managed to get a good deal for the activities the next few
days.Banana boat + flying fish + parasailing + island hopping +
helmet diving for 2850PHP (83SGD) It was a pretty good deal since we heard from
other Singaporeans that they paid 2000PHP for banana boat and flying fish only.
